Smart Step Services is designed to provide employment supports to Albertans who have a documented disability or chronic medical condition. Eligible clients include unemployed or underemployed Albertans over the age of 18 who are able to work a minimum of 15 hours per week.  Clients may be on EI, AISH or Income Support.

 

Once accepted into Smart Step Services clients will work with a Service Coordinator to create a plan with the end goal of finding appropriate employment.  

    

Through a series of workshops and one-on-one meetings participants are assisted with the development of job search skills, making connections with employers, gaining suitable employment and job maintenance support.
